Stanford Academy’s consulting service aims to lessen the burden on both student and parents by providing valuable insight only attainable through years of experience. Unlike most other consulting services, David takes the time to learn about the student and get to know each student personally. This factor is one which I believe sets Stanford Academy’s consulting services from others. From feedback from peers, the biggest complaint I heard was that although consultants took the time to learn about their history and other necessary information, they did not feel the consultant had a genuine concern for their students. You can tell that David is always thinking about his students whether he is at work or at home as he often will give helpful suggestions out of the blue that can often make the difference between a good essay and an outstanding essay. All the changes and actions he takes for his students are never done impulsively but looked at from every which angle to help his students achieve success. In addition to David’s care for his students, Kina and Christie are extremely helpful in rearranging the Common Application information to best present me as a student. Although many people may only think that the essays are important, the way you present yourself through the Common Application makes a huge difference.
